N.I. Rozhkova is the founder of creating and implementing a new independent direction - clinical mammology in Russia, interventional radiology in mammology. Based on her scientific developments, a system for screening breast diseases, additional examination, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with breast cancer, approved by order of the Ministry of Health of Russia, was created. This system has changed the structure of breast morbidity over the past five years towards detecting early forms of the disease, contributing to a decrease in the number of neglected cases and mortality from breast cancer. In addition, the created system increases the 20-year life expectancy of women with early detection of malignant tumors to 92-98%. To date, 2987 specialized mammography rooms have been organized in the Russian Federation.
N.I. Rozhkova has trained several thousand specialists. She is the author of 50 books and practical guidelines containing the fundamental principles of a modern integrated approach to solving clinical and aesthetic mammology problems. Under her leadership, 23 candidates and two doctors of science have been prepared; eight thesis researches were carried out (5 doctors of medical science, three candidates of medical science), more than 700 publications (including 50 publications over the past five years), including ten monographs and guidelines (for the last five years - 10) were prepared, 16 patents, including European ones for 28 countries of Europe, USA, Japan (for the previous five years) were registered.
