Glushko Vladimir Alekseevich
Surgeon of the highest category, has certificates in surgery, oncology and thoracic surgery. Mr Glushko is the participant in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and the earthquake in the city of Leninakan. He is the veteran of military operations (doctor-surgeon at the "Zashchita" All-Russian Center for Disaster Medicine in the Chechen Republic). He was awarded the Certificate of Honour of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the award pin "Excellent Worker of Public Health". He passed professional retraining in the specialties "Oncology" and "Thoracic surgery".
Glushko V.A. is the conscientious and highly qualified specialist. Doctor Glushko respectfully treats colleagues at work and is attentive to patients. During the holiday periods, he acts as the Head of the thoracic and thoraco-abdominal departments.
Based on the results of scientific research 60 publications were made. Glushko V.A. actively develops methodological aspects of surgical treatment of patients with malignant neoplasms of the abdominal and thoracic cavity, participates in the development of scientifically grounded methodologies for extended and combined surgical interventions. Doctor Glushko holds the position of the surgeon officer at the Institute, performing emergency surgical interventions. Within the framework of science topics, the department is responsible for studying the problem of mediastinal tumors and PDT in metastatic pleurisy.
In 1991 he was as an applicant for the degree of candidate of medical science at the Department of General Surgery of the I MMI named after I.M. Sechenov. He defended his thesis: "Staged endoscopic sanitation and necrectomy in the complex treatment of acute destructive pancreatitis."
In 2002 doctor Glushko V.A. defended his doctoral dissertation: "Diagnostics, principles of treatment of acute destructive pancreatitis and its postnecrotic complications."

During the reporting period V.A. Glushko has performed more than 250 planned and emergency operations on the organs of the chest, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space.
For 4 years he worked as a surgeon at the Novomoskovsk city hospital in the Tula region.
Since 1993 - Assistant at the Department of General Surgery, I MMI named after I.M. Sechenov.
From 1995 to 2003 doctor Glushko V.A. combined work at the department with holding the position of the head of the general surgical department of the city clinical hospital №23 "Medsantrud".
Since 1997 he held the position of the Associate Professor of the Department of General Surgery of the Moscow Medical Academy named after I.M. Sechenov.
From 2003 to 2007 he worked at the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.N. Blokhin. He combined his work as the Director of the Branch with holding the position of the Chief physician of the Regional Clinical Center for Oncology M3 of the Khabarovsk Territory.
Since 2007 - Senior Researcher, Thoracic Surgical Department, Moscow Oncological Research Institute named after P.A. Herzen.
